Reports that Irish international Jeff Hendrick was Sean Dyche's top priority this season seem to be true. Just two days after Derby labelled their second bid of £3 million embarrassing, the newly promoted Premier League club have come back with an improved offer.
According to the Sun, Burnley have made an offer that's over twice the amount of their previous bid - with the new sum thought to be £6.2 million. Hendrick is currently on holidays following the Euros, whilst the rest of his Derby teammates are at a camp in Portugal.
Derby aren't under any financial pressure to sell, and the Derby Telegraph ran a poll where fans could reply with what they thought Hendrick was worth. 39% of people said he was worth £10 million or more.
It remains to be seen whether Derby agree with their fans or not.
Hendrick posted on his instagram that he's in Dublin. We can't identify the GAA jersey he's got on, can any eagle-eyed fan help us out?
