Bulgaria's Ex-PM Makes Professional Football Debut

Boyko Borisov the former PM of Bulgaria made his professional football debut on Sunday in Vitosha Bistritsa's goalless draw against Rakovski in the country's second-tier league. The 54-year-old made history by becoming the oldest player to appear for a Bulgarian professional club, The ex-premier, who wore number 13, played 54 minutes in Vitosha's home draw. Borisov had already played amateur football for the club before they secured a berth in the second division this season.In 2011, he won the annual fans' player of the year poll but urged organisers to annul the results.
