Not many people gave Bristol City a chance tonight coming up against the might and guile of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. But amazingly the Championship side are 1-0 up at half time after a tigerish display.
In the first leg of their Carabao Cup tie City named a strong side with De Bruyne, Sané, Touré, Sterling and Silva all in the starting line-up, but they have found it hard to break down Lee Johnson's team and may find themselves with a tricky away leg if they don't get their shooting boots on soon.
Bobby Reid put City ahead after being clumsily taken down by John Stones in the penalty area, and dispatching the subsequent penalty kick.
Bravo did get a hand to the shot, but the power was enough to see it beat the Chilean.
At the other end of the field Bristol kept the Manchester Club quiet, Aidan Flint with a scarcely believable clearance to keep the Championship side in the lead:
An amazing piece of defending from the Englishman. The ball seemed destined for the back of the net.
There's still a lot of football to be played, but if Bristol managed to keep Guardiola's men at bay, it would surely be one of the upsets of the season.
