Leeds defeated a Slovenian "Select XI" 3-1 yesterday evening (including a goal from new signing Noel Hunt). At full time manager Brian McDermott responded to chants of "Brian it's your round" from some 300 supporters who travelled to the game by walking over to them and handing out €50. He later told Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Phil Hay: "€50 was all I came out with. I’d have given them more if I’d had it. I feel a bit bad actually.”
The lucky fans were more than grateful however.

It's certainly a different response to the New York Red Bulls, paying fans not to chant.
