In terms of summoning some cloying/grating/toe-curling moments in press conference, Brendan Rodgers is one of the most storied. His habit of breaking into cringe-worthy, corporate motivational cliches has long since provided fodder for the internet generation: those who filter their experiences of football through the potentiality of creating memes.
These have left Rodgers mocked by his own echo, and it creates a caricature that obscures a talented - if flawed - football manager.
But at his pre-Barcelona press conference this afternoon, Rodgers was not the man bringing the cringe.
Instead, that was a visiting Spanish journalist, who decided the time was nigh to draw an incredibly vague comparison between Leo Messi and the Loch Ness monster.
It didn't make much sense to Brendan, and he struggled to hold back a smile when answering. To his credit, he did so with considerable grace, before admitting that the question was "probably the worst I've had".

Fair play to Rodgers for answering, at least.
