Brendan Rodgers is a man under pressure. A disastrous league campaign saw many fans calling for him to get the chop. The looming figure of Jurgen Klopp didn't help at all and now that his assistant and his coach have been given the old heave ho, there's no where left for the former Swansea boss to hide. It's surely last chance saloon.
The primary stick used to beat Rodgers has been in his (and 'the committees') rather diabolical record in the transfer market. It's doesn't take deep analysis from the game's most intelligent thinkers to see that Liverpool have failed in that area in the past year.
If ever there was proof that Brendan Rodgers struggles have transcended the world of sport then this is it. Well known parody twitter account @DeludedBrendan decided to get in contact with the official Tesco twitter account to look for some more cheap deals in the aftermath of his Milner and Ings signings.
To the delight of many, Tesco replied.
@Tesco Got any deals on? I have a budget of £0 and preferably I'd like the product to be English and show great character.
