It's been suggested in some quarters that Liverpool will struggle to achieve the same finish as last season without Luis Suarez. However, big Brendan Rodgers has recruited a few names to replace the goals they will surely be missing from the former number seven.
One of the new signings is £20 million man Lazar Markovic from Benfica. The highly rated young Serbian has already impressed the boss and Rodger's was full of praise for his new man.
He's super fast. I think his speed will really take the eye, because he's very very quick. He's a nice boy and a real good kid.
Rodgers also revealed some behind the scenes stories about Markovic's character, including a tale of his first class airplane ticket switcharoo. Video below.
Markovic joins several other recruits in an attempt to bid for the title once more, as well as the red's return to European football. With Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Divock Oriji, Emre Can, Rickie Lambert, Lawrence Vigouroux and Kevin Stewart all on board, can Liverpool mount a serious campaign again?
