Saturday's loss to Bournemouth certainly piled further pressure on Brendan Rodgers as his position at Leicester City comes under increasing scrutiny.

The club have won only one of their ten league fixtures this season, currently sitting in 19th position in the league. It has been an absolutely disastrous start for The Foxes, even accounting for the fact that they lost a couple of key players over the summer.

Their form does not look like improving anytime soon, with their manager growing increasingly frustrated as a result.

Brendan Rodgers calls out reporter for 'disgraceful' question

It is a tad surprising that Brendan Rodgers has not already been relieved of his position at the King Power stadium. Leicester City's form have been incredibly poor over the last few months and he seems to be quickly running out of ideas to turn things around.

It has been suggested that the club simply can't afford to sack him. It was reported that the manager is on a salary of around £10million per year, and considering the owner's recent financial issues, handing out such a severance package would not be easy to swallow.

Brendan Rodgers was directly asked about this in the aftermath of the Bournemouth game, something that not go down well. According to a report in The Telegraph, he would storm out of a post-match huddle with reporters soon after he was questioned about whether his salary was the reason he had not yet lost his job.

I have read on the news what I am supposed to be on and I know for sure that is a total fabrication.

It’s nowhere near (the £10million salary suggested).

I actually think it is a disrespectful question, very disrespectful. I never asked you how much money you are on or whether there is any blockage in your role from your owners.

I don’t think you need to worry about my wages. If there is a stumbling block in anything, you need to ask the owners that. It’s a disgraceful question.

This was a very forthright question, with the way Brendan Rodgers reacted perhaps indicative of the pressure he is currently under.

Regardless of any financial concerns, Leicester City will surely have to consider parting ways with their current manager if things do not quickly improve. Relegation from the Premier League would have a far bigger impact on their finances than a sizeable payoff.
