Seven weeks after being shown the Anfield door, Brendan Rodgers has been linked with a real change of secenery in his managerial career.
According to the Daily Mail, the 42-year-old is currently discussing terms over a contract with a Qatari club.
Exactly which Qatar Stars League club Rodgers is speaking with is not named but he has apparently been lured by the prospect of a 'lucrative' deal.
A move to Qatar would see Rodgers facing at least one familiar name in the opposite dugout. Gianfranco Zola is currently manager of Al Arabi. While Barcelona legend Xavi is with Al Sadd.
If true, it would be a surprising move for the Northern Irishman and certainly one which could move him to the periphery regarding future jobs in the Premier League.
