Players in the Brazilian football league launched a protest at fixture congestion that they feel does not give them adequate recovery time following matches.

The surreal scenes saw both teams refused to play following tip off, folding their arms in defiance for the opening moments of every game across the league

Corinthians defender Paulo Andre, who is leading the protest stated

"We will escalate the protests if the federation doesn’t respond"
