Although Fred had not been named in Dunga's original 23-man squad for the Copa America tournament, he was called up to replace the injured Luiz Gustavo and started their first two matches in the group stages.

The Shakhtar Donetsk player will hear the results of a second test today before any further steps are taken. The 22-year-old has six caps for Brazil, having joined Donetsk in 2013.
