Bray Wanderers have confirmed they have the appropriate funds to complete the 2017 League of Ireland season.
The County Wicklow club, who are currently in third place in the Premier Division have been teetering on the brink in recent weeks. Low attendances at the Carlisle Grounds, along with a loss in funding from investors meant the club needed a quick injection of cash, which resulted in the transfer of star player Dylan Connolly to Dundalk late last month.
In a statement released by club chairman Denis O'Connor on Thursday evening, it was confirmed that "funding has been organised to fulfill the remainder of this season and into 2018".
O'Connor offered his apologies to the players, fans and coaches at Bray Wanderers, along with the other League of Ireland clubs and the FAI.
He also confirmed that the contracts of the players currently at the club will be honoured.

The FAI have responded to Bray's statement by saying they are "encouraged" by the news, but added that Bray "will now be required to provide the Independent Licensing Committee with confirmation as to their current financial status and adhere to the protocol set down by the Committee in relation to maintaining a Licence for the current season".
