No it's not a trick. Those are the actual Boxing Day results, St. Stephen's Day to you and I. Burnley earned a big win over hapless Man United, Chelsea pile more misery on Blackpool, while Liverpool finally earned a big win to ease pressure off the manager with a 6-1 win over Stoke.
Admitedly, these aren't the results from Boxing Day 2014, but rather from 51 years ago. That Liverpool win doesn't relieve the pressure on Brendan Rodgers, but he will be hoping for a similar result when his team travel to Burnley. That year remains one of the highest scoring Boxing Days in English football, so it'll take a lot for today to provide as many goals.
It's crazy to think how much the football landscape has changed in the 51 years since that day. Do you think that in 51 years that we'll be looking back on today wondering how Chelsea beat West Ham?
