The 20-year-old Dubliner scored with a fine strike from well outside the box as Fleetwood Town defeated Reading 2-1 on Tuesday.
Lawal, a defender who is on loan at the League One side from Celtic, opened the scoring just two minutes into the game.
"Great goal, great start," said Fleetwood Town manager Lee Johnson.
"It was a perfect move in terms of what we'd discussed. Fantastic to see. I'm sure that Bos's first league goal. What a fantastic player he is, and a good lad.
"Hopefully, he's not too bad with the one he took in the mush. He actually took one a couple of days ago as well."

Ireland U21 international Lawal, who recently signed an extension to his Celtic deal, was not the only Irish player to shine for Fleetwood. Johnson added that Promise Omochere, who joined the English side from Bohs last year, was "absolutely outstanding" during the opening half.
"We're a good side and we've got good players," said Johnson.
"The lads actually need to believe that a bit more. I thought that tactically we were excellent. Then we stopped applying pressure. When we were applying pressure, forcing them into mistakes and then tidying up...
"I thought Promise, the first half hour, was absolutely outstanding. He was acting, not only as a winger, but as a target man for us as well. We've got good footballers, but for the final ball, we could have been two or three up [at half-time]."
