Borussia Dortmund's home Champions League tie with Monaco has been postponed until tomorrow afternoon at 5.45pm (Irish time) after the Dortmund team bus was hit by a blast while the squad made their way to the Westfalanstadion ahead of the game. Marc Bartra was the only person injured in the incident, and his injuries are believed to be superficial and caused by broken glass.
The game was postponed fifteen minutes ahead of the scheduled kick-off, with a number of supporters already in the ground ahead of kick-off, and when the news of the incident broke in the ground, Monaco fans chanted 'Dortmund' in solidarity.
Dortmund fans have responded with their own fine gesture in return. With the game rescheduled for tomorrow, throwing the travel and accommodation plans of countless Monaco fans into flux, Dortmund fans have launched #BedsForAwayFans, the aim being for those in a position to offer accommodation to travelling fans to be able to do so.
Dear supporters of @AS_Monaco_EN! If you need accommodation in Dortmund, please check #bedforawayfans. #bvbasm

Often, such serious incidents around sporting events are often said to put sport in perspective. Instead, they often throw them into a light that shows what sport at its best is all about: togetherness, humanity, and decency.
Wonderful from Dortmund.
