The travails of the football hipster have been well-documented on this website. One of the most refreshing aspects of the League of Ireland is its immunity to the sway of hipsterism, Mick Wallace jerseys aside.
We discussed this on our daily sports podcast, The Racket:
If one LOI club seemed vulnerable to hipsterism, though, it would be Phibsborough's finest. Firstly, there was the name. Bohemians. Then there's the Johnny Logan thing. Look, I've got time for 'Hold Me Now'. It's Ireland's second-best Eurovision winner (what's up Charlie McGettigan) but adopting it as your club anthem is about as hipster as it gets.

News reaches us this morning though of a very disturbing development in Bohs beverage department. Ahead of Bohs home-opener against Sligo this weekend, it seems Dalymount's venerable beer-serving institutions will be sullied by the scourge of American craft beer.
Craft beer at an LOI match? Tins of extra hoppy Pacific Northwest IPA for sale at the hallowed ground where Ireland beat the USSR 3-0 in 1972?
Was it for this?
UPDATE:
Bohs are not the only Northside club dabblin in hipsterism.
.@ballsdotie Shels club bar has stocked craft beer since last season. Keep up.
