It was a big weekend for Arsenal and Katie McCabe, with the club experiencing a big derby win in front of a record crowd yesterday.
Having had a comfortable 4-0 victory over Brighton in the opening game of their Women's Super League campaign last weekend, they were hoping to bring that form into the North London Derby against Spurs.
Played at The Emirates, the fixture would be attended by 47,367 supporters. That's a new record for the WSL, bettering the previous mark set in the reverse of this fixture in 2019 by almost 10,000 fans.
It was a thoroughly comfortable afternoon for the home side, who would run out as 4-0 winners.

Beth Mead pokes fun at Katie McCabe after big Arsenal win
Ireland captain Katie McCabe played the full 90 minutes for Arsenal, putting in yet another impressive performance. She was certainly in a jovial mood after the final whistle.

She also got the piss taken out of her by her teammate.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, McCabe has developed a certain reputation among Arsenal fans in recent times. They have made her habit of picking up yellow cards somewhat of a running joke, with the Irishwoman being booked nine times in the WSL last season.

There is even a twitter account dedicated to tracking her card count.
This joke has now made its way into the Arsenal squad itself. After Beth Mead found a yellow card at the side of the pitch in the aftermath of yesterday's game, she couldn't help but flash it in Katie McCabe's direction.

Brilliant.
Arsenal finished second in the WSL last season, with the club hoping to win the title for the first time since 2019 in the upcoming campaign.
Katie McCabe will certainly play a big part in their quest to do so.
