Last night Ireland made history by becoming the first fourth seeds in a qualifying group to win the World Cup eight months before it's even started! The now fingernail-less nation has been rejoicing in the wake of such an amazing win over a Welsh team toothless in attack.
I for one have also lost my voice but enough about anatomy. We're reliving some of the wonderful scenes last night with the best photos and videos we could find on the interwebs. What a night!
People who say international football doesn't matter any more should just look at the Irish & Welsh players and fans. It matters the world.

We're still friends with the Welsh, really.

This was the scene in an Irish pub in Liverpool. Keep an eye out for the depressed Welsh fan in the bottom left corner.
The aftermath of the celebrations in Dicey's last night. Thanks for Aoife White for posting this in our supporters' Facebook group. Yes, that is someone crowd surfing.
Particularly like this one. Swiss fans in Portugal try to get in on the act but alas they got their wires crossed.

Oh and here we are outside the stadium, revelling in the aftermath of the win.
