Good news for Liverpool fans, there could be something to put in the trophy cabinet at the end of this season after all. The Fox Sports documentary 'Being: Liverpool' has been nominated for a Sports Emmy awards in the 'Outstanding Editing' category.
The 6 part documentary series looked behind-the-scenes at the club from the appointment of Brendan Rodgers to the end of the summer transfer window.
Michael Bloom who commissioned the series said:
"It's a great honour for us to be nominated alongside such distinguished programming and it's a tribute to our production team's talent as well as the incredible trust Liverpool put in us.
From start to finish it was an exhilarating experience. Being as close to the action and characters as it was all unfolding was amazing. We did what no-one had really done before."
Brendan Rodgers must be pretty disappointed to have missed out in the 'best portrait of yourself hanging in your own house' category though.
He also surely deserved a nod for the amount of fodder for jokes his 'three envelopes' strategy provided to websites such as the one you are currently browsing.
