The history books will regard the 2022 World Cup as belonging to Leo Messi, but this past month, Emi Martinez - also known as Dibu - wrote his name into the annals of sh*thousery with a permanent marker.
The Aston Villa keeper had a reputation coming into this tournament, but his antics in Qatar have earned him eternal fame from those admire the dark arts.
In a way, it was a pity that such a dramatic World Cup final had to be decided by penalties, because the mismatch between Lloris and Martinez was so blatant.
In another way, it was only fitting that this World Cup would be won by such spectacular shithousery.

France's third penalty proved ultimately decisive. After Mbappe's emphatic first penalty, Coman missed France's second kick. With Argentina flawless, the weight of the world was Aurelien Tchouameni's shoulders as he walked up to take his penalty. If he missed, the greatest World Cup final was effectively lost.
The Real Madrid midfielder looked very nervous, and Martinez seemed fully aware of Tchouameni's vulnerability. It was here that Bipo made his move.
As Tchouameni made his lonely walk to the penalty box, Martinez ran over to the spot, picked the ball up and took it to the goalmouth. He bounced it a few times, then gee-ed up the Argentinian supporters behind his goal.
As the ref began to whistle at him to return the ball, Martinez then casually threw the ball away.
Tchouameni had to go and collect the ball himself. Martinez would eventually be yellow-carded for his behaviour during the next penalty, but in that moment, the World Cup trophy became Argentina's.
Tchouameni pushed his penalty past the post, and it's worth noting that Martinez had guessed correctly and had it covered.
The segment was analysed in detail by the BBC team in postmatch coverage with Gary Lineker calling it 'somethinghousery'.
This was only the beginning of Martinez's memorable night. He would turn the golden glove into a phallus and mock Mbappe, who put three penalties past him, in the dressing room.

We don't know if Aston Villa, or indeed the Premier League, is big enough for the shenanigans this man has proved himself capable of.
