Adebayo Akinfenwa - footballer, larger than life personality and author of the book 'The Beast' - does not do things by half.
So if he's going to score a goal against his former team, you can be sure it's going to be one of the most memorable goals you'll ever see.
The 39-year-old played for AFC Wimbledon for two seasons last decade, scoring 19 goals in 83 appearances, before moving to Wycombe, where he became something of a household name.
The Wanderers welcomed Wimbledon to Adams Park Stadium this afternoon for a League One armwrestle. With Wycombe trailing by a goal in the 74th minute, goalkeeper David Stockdale played a ball into the edge of the Wimbledon box.
Akinfenwa, who was only on the pitch nine minutes, managed to chest the ball down despite wrestling with a centre-back, and while being impeded and falling backwards, lob the Wimbledon keeper.
It was a goal of pure beastliness, a goal that only Bayo Akinfenwa could score.
Akinfenwa lobs the keeper
The celebration was certainly muted considering the quality of the goal. There was genuine amazement from those following the match on social media.
Oh God. It had to be. Former Wimbledon hero Adebayo Akinfenwa scores one of the best goals I've ever seen, and Wimbledon's lead--like Yeats's center--cannot hold. It's 1-1.
