Earlier today, UEFA announced they were dropping their investigation into claims made by Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi after the striker alleged he was racially abused by Atlanta fans last month.

Batshuayi is currently out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and made the allegations following a Europa League game in Italy. Atlanta were fined €34,000 for fireworks, objects thrown as well as blocked stairways but UEFA also stated they were to "close the disciplinary proceedings opened for racist or discriminatory behaviour."

Batshuayi responded to the announcement on Twitter.

The 24-year-old had claimed he heard monkey noises in the stadium. UEFA did not explain why they dropped the investigation.
