While it was announced just over two weeks ago that Xavi had reversed his decision to step down as Barcelona manager at the end of the season, it seems as though his future at the club is now in doubt on the back of comments he made at a recent press conference.
The 44-year old announced earlier this season that he would step aside at the end of the campaign, putting the decision down to fatigue. However, an upturn in Barca's form would see him have a change of heart and opt to stay on.
However, his presence at the Camp Nou next season is now in doubt.

Barcelona could sack Xavi over press conference comments
Speaking ahead of Barcelona's victory over Almeria last night, Xavi caused some waves by admitting that the club were likely going to struggle to compete with Real Madrid over the coming seasons.
We will try to compete with Madrid, but I think the fans have to understand that the situation is very tough. First of all on a financial level.
We can no longer say: 'We want this player, and this player'. We do not have the same conditions as the other clubs with a good financial situation.
The Barcelona fans have to understand that.
That doesn't mean we can't challenge, but that's Barça's situation at the moment. We need time and stability, but we will also try to compete.
Those comments have not gone down well with the club hierarchy.
SPORT are reporting that Barcelona president Joan Laporta now intends to sack Xavi at the end of the season. It is said that his claims that the club were unable to compete with Real Madrid moving forward could ultimately lead to his departure.
Barcelona are likely to finish second in this season's La Liga table, although they never came close to challenging Real Madrid for the title. With Los Blancos set to add the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick this summer, you can see why they could become the dominant force in Spain over the coming years.
However, to hear a Barca manager admit that in public has clearly not gone down well at the Camp Nou.
