A chequered pattern in football kits is usually synonymous with Croatia, but this could all be set to change according to a report in Catalonia-based paper Sport, who believe that Barcelona's next home kit will incorporate a chequered design.
The news outlet has made a mock up of what the kit will look like, with Barca's blue and red utilised in a check pattern much like that of Croatia's national team:
There have also been images of a limited edition mash-up kit which Nike and Barcelona are reportedly releasing to mark 20 years in partnership. This monstrosity will feature aspects of all previous jerseys worn between 1998 and 2018, melded into one hideous blue and red bar code (images via footyheadlines.com):
