Brendan Rodgers is set to continue his Liverpool clear out as Mario Balotelli and Lucas Leiva near their Anfield exits.
According to the Daily Star, controversial striker Balotelli is set to return to Italy but Liverpool will have to pay 70% of his rumoured £85,000 weekly wages to secure his move to Lazio.
It's a crazy turn of events for Balotelli as Liverpool paid £16m for the 25-year-old just last summer, after not scoring a single Premier League goal he has been forced to train with the youth team.
The season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal also depends on the Italian giant qualifying for the Champions League. Lazio currently lead Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 ahead of the return leg in Germany.
A second player set to leave Anfield on loan is longest-serving player Lucas Leiva. The Brazilian midfielder is finalising a move to Turkey with Besiktas the destination. According to the Daily Mirror, a deal for the 28-year-old is expected to be completed in the next two days.
