Balls.ie’s brand new web show Euro 2016 Fan Zone Live will accompany you throughout the entirety of the Euros and be your official companion to everything you need to know coming out of France. We’ll have social media reaction to all the big moments, feature some recognisable faces as guests and, perhaps best of all, you get to look at Mikey and Gavan for nearly seven minutes straight.
In Episode two, our hosts Mikey Traynor and Gavan Casey tried their best to hide their dismay at Ireland only securing a draw against Sweden despite the best efforts of the new Lionel Messi, Wes Hoolahan. Never mind though, a modicum of revenge was had against the Swedes in our Virtual Euro 2016.
In our third episode, we give our reaction to England’s last minute triumph against Wales, take a crack at Joe Hart and ask whether Raheem Sterling has been hanging around with Jesus Navas too much. .
In Episode four, Mikey and Gavan reactedto that disheartening Irish result against Belgium. They take a look at how some fans have taken losing 3-0 to the Belgians and also what Irish supporters could be motivated to do simply by sticking 'for the Boys in Green' on the end of a chant.
In the fifth episode, Gavan and Mikey look forward to the all-important Italy clash, examining the reasons the Boys in Green have for being positive. Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend Norman Whiteside also makes an appearance.
