A football fan flying hundreds of miles to meet his football manager team reached its apotheosis with the Livorno fan who flew to Derry City a couple of months ago.

Whilst that is an incredible story, the genre has grind to an excruciating halt with this young lad from Sao Paolo meeting the Blyth Spartans team.

The whole thing is rather cringey, particularly the bemused looks from the Spartans players and the phlegmatic boy's indifference to lifting the most generic cup we have ever seen. Watch below.
