Former Manchester United goalkeeper, and current Ajax CEO, Edwin van der Sar could not have been happier after Thursday night's Europa League fixtures presented him what will have been his dream European final.
Granted, he may rather see these two sides go head-to-head in the Champions League, but in his position at Ajax the fact that the Amsterdam club have made to the Europa League is an indication that he's doing an excellent job.
Further proof that he is well suited to his role were his actions in the moments after the final whistle in Lyon last night, where during an interview he spotted Ajax's young goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Cameroon international is just 21 but has enjoyed an impressive season with Ajax after moving to the club from Barcelona's academy in 2015.
When Van der Sar spotted him he gave him a big hug and explained how proud he was of how far he had come as a goalkeeper, as the United great took him under his wing after some early troubles.
That was a touch of class.
It must be incredible to be a young keeper to have Edwin van der Sar to call for a chat when anything gets difficult. The joy in big Edwin's face is fantastic.
Ajax will go into the final game of the season a point behind Feyenoord at the top of the league, knowing that they need an unlikely favour from Heracles in order to have a chance at claiming the title, but the Europa League final will be a hugely positive occasion for both the fans and the players.
It's great to see a club with a history such as Ajax back in contention for European titles.
