After a season in which Liverpool topped the charts for distance run, they then went about covering more ground after Sunday's successful denouement at Anfield by pitching up in Australia for a post-season friendly with Sydney FC.
The Liverpool squad mingled past, present, and future: first-teamers included Lovren, Sturridge, and Firmino and they were joined in a squad featuring Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, and Steve Mcmanaman and youngsters Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn. Liverpool won 3-0, with goals from Sturridge, Moreno, and Firmino.
This mishmash of a Liverpool team still managed to draw 72,000 people to Sydney's ANZ Stadium, but the mania of the supporters paled in comparison to the absurdly fervent television coverage provided by ABC2.
Here's a portion of the half-time 'analysis', in which a man in a Liverpool jersey cuts across a female presenter to throw to a befuddled touchline reporter. His probing questions to the crowd included "what's your favourite possession".
