A 12-year-old Australian ball boy has become a lucky charm for the Chinese football team after helping Chinese goalie Wang Dalei save a penalty in the Asian Cup. Stephen White, who was the ball boy in question for the game told Dalei the correct side to dive and saved the penalty.

He turned around and then he like held on to the net and he said 'left or right', and I said 'pardon', and he said 'left or right and I said 'left'.

The save proved crucial as China went onto win the game 1-0 against Saudi Arabia. To show their gratitude toward their new lucky charm, the Chinese have invited him to training to meet all the players.
