Let's hope that John Delaney was better at maths back when he was treasurer for the FAI than he is right now. The FAI chief executive was on Newstalk with Pat Kenny this morning to discuss the appointment of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane as Ireland manger and assistant manager respectively.
Of course with the involvement of Roy, Saipan came up though up. For a subject which comes up so often in Irish life and one with which he was so intimately involved, John Delaney was a bit sketchy as to when it actually occurred.
Just the four times here that he says 2002 was thirteen years ago.
