Coming into this game, everybody and their mother knew that if Atletico Madrid were going to have any chance at overturning the 3-0 defecit from the first leg at the Bernabeu, they were going to have to start early.
Well, that is exactly what happened as Diego Simeone's men caught Real Madrid cold. Before the game their manager suggested that the Atleti players had not eaten in four days in order to be truly hungry for this fixture... But he may have actually starved them for motivation. If so, expect to see more managers replicate that tactic as it bloody worked.

Antoine Griezmann then scored from the spot after Fernando Torres was taken down by Rafael Varane.
