Steven Gerrard's alleged list of fines for his Aston Villa players has been leaked, and they provide an insight into the manager's mindset and his approach at the club.
The reported list highlights Gerrard's intent to introduce high standards, personal responsibility, and respect into the everyday footballing life of the Aston Villa squad.
What stands out is how thought out and extensive the list is. It feature's obvious fines for discrepancies such as lateness for the coach and meetings, forgetting GPS for training, late to training, and wrong match day attire (a la coach Carter).

On top of those are fines for more specific offences such as leaving the popular tobacco product snus lying around, forgetting cakes on birthdays, not wearing flip flops in the showers, illegal parking (at football or outside football), and leaving cups and plates at the dining table.
Judging by the size of the fines, being late for a coach, walk, or meeting on match day is the most serious offence and carries with it a £1,000 fine. Late for training, meeting, or coach on a regular day carries a fine of £200 per minute.
At the bottom of the notice are punishments for actions which don't carry fines. A red card means the player must take the team for a meal within 4 weeks of receiving the card. The worst player in their small-sided warm ups must wear an 'I was the worst trainer' jumper to training the next week.
The list certainly reflects some of the qualities Gerrard showed on the pitch for Liverpool, where the legendary captain demanded high standards from his players and showed a low tolerance for complacency.
