It's not gone to plan at all for Ashley Cole in Italy.
What was supposed to be a change of scene in a slower-paced league where he could impart some wisdom on Roma's younger players, has turned into Ashley Cole pretty much vanishing from the football universe.
Cole has played just 11 times since moving to Rome in 2014, and hasn't featured at all this season, but today he was dealt a crushing blow to any hopes of featuring for Roma in the future as he was cropped out of a picture posted to the club's twitter account.
Mohammad Salah tweeted from the injury room, and he even took a picture with Ashley:

Roma's official twitter then took the decision to crop him out of the pic:

Ouch.
#CroppedOut
That's a low blow, and sadly for the former Chelsea man, the fans weren't much kinder:
Thank you for removing A.Cole from the picture ??

@ASRomaEN Mugged Ashley right off ?

Clearly Cole's time in Rome will be coming to an end soon, but they didn't have to play him like that.
Poor form.
