Ashley Cole has been linked with a sensational move to Frank Lampard's Derby County.
The 38-year-old has been a free agent since leaving LA Galaxy late last year, and multiple reports from The Sun and the Mail Online stating that the left back has opened talks with the Championship side.
Lampard has spoken previously about the possibility of linking up with his former Chelsea team mate:
I don't know. I know Ashley well. I haven't spoken to him on it, so it's a conversation I could easily have.
We also have Max Lowe on loan at Aberdeen as a young left back who had a really good pre-season for us.
So, again, one to consider over the next few weeks.
Should the England international join the club, it will likely mean that Lowe will extend his loan move at Aberdeen.
Cole would bring a wealth of experience to Pride Park, having won over 100 caps for England as well as winning three Premier Leagues, a Champions League, a Europa League and seven FA Cups.
It is being reported that a deal could be done for the defender in the next 48 hours.
