Celtic fans could be seeing one of the hottest prospects in European football pull on the green and white hoops and pull the strings for the Glasgow club next season, according to reports in Spain.

Well known Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that Real Madrid are currently looking to find a club to take teenage sensation Martin Ødegaard on loan for the 2015/16 season in order to further his development with regular first team football, and they believe that Celtic are currently the favourite to land the Norwegian.

It certainly does make a lot of sense. Celtic would be eager to bring Ødegaard in and he would likely have a good chance of working his way into the team, Celtic could be in the Champions League next season if they successfully navigate the qualifiers, and Celtic manager Ronny Delia was Ødegaard's coach at Strømsgodset.

It all fits so nicely.

Martin Ødegaard made his full Real Madrid debut and became their youngest ever La Liga player when he came on as substitute against Getafe at the end of last season, and will participate in the club's pre-season tours of Australia and China, but upon his return Celtic will be hoping he is packing his bags for Glasgow.
