As Barca's Season Falters, Neymar Could Not Avoid Revealing His Bitterness Last Night

During the week, Barcelona exited the Champions League. On Sunday night, their season faltered even more as they lost 2-1 - at home - to Valencia.

The La Liga title race is now wide open. Atletico Madrid are level on points with Barca. Real Madrid are just a point further behind.

After last night's defeat, frustration boiled over for Neymar. The Brazil is in the middle of a goal drought. It's nearly a month - five games - since he last scored for his club.

Watching Valencia's player celebrate their victory on Sunday night was too much for Neymar. He intervened with a little slap - though it looks more akin to a caress in slow motion - for Dani Parejo.

As players from both sides made their way to the dressing rooms, there were further arguments in the tunnel involving Neymar.

According to Marca, the forward threw a water bottle at Antonio Barragan.

This happened after Neymar told Barragan, "Shut up, we're ten times better than you". To which Barragan responded, "No more dancing or insults?"

The bottle then flew.

No doubt Eamon Dunphy was sitting at home watching the action decrying Neymar's petulance.
