Arsene Wenger has today has been at his witty best today as he explained to the media that he doesn't understand the point of UEFA's additional endline officials.
Speaking at a press conference before Arsenal's trip to the Liberty Stadium to play Swansea on Sunday, Wenger criticised the role the extra officials play, and offered a suggestion as to how UEFA should make them more comfortable.
Wenger: “Every time we go to Geneva, Pierluigi Collina (UEFA’s CRO) explains to us that the fifth referee is a fantastic finding."

Wenger on extra UEFA endline official: “I do not know what they are paid for. They should buy a seat for them, and give them a good book!”

He has a point, the extra officials seem to add only confusion as nobody knows exactly what their purpose is, and why they seem reluctant to be firm with a decision.
