Arsenal and Arsene Wenger haven't seen a criticism filled start to the season like this since last season and the somewhat beleaguered Arsenal boss used his post match press conference today to let off a little snarky steam.
Arsenal stumbled to a goaless draw away to Champions Leicester and Wenger went on the offensive after, telling the assembled journalists they should be happy with the performance of new central defender Rob Holding but that he was sorry he didn't cost 55m.
Wenger also went on to say that he would spent 300m on a player if he had 300m and if it was the right player.
How he must yearn for the days when he could cherry pick the finest talents in France for next to nothing. He seems like a man who isn't too far away from walking away from the madness that is modern football.
