Arsenal's hopes of maintaining their perfect record of finishing in the top four under Arsene Wenger took a hit yesterday afternoon, as West Ham rolled over and had their belly tickled by Liverpool.

Klopp's side have been wobbling badly in recent weeks as the goals have dried up: three goals in their last three home games have yielded just two points, with Arsenal surging with their holy grail in sight and fodder laid before them. A 4-1 stroll against Stoke on Saturday evening put the pressure on Liverpool away to West Ham on Sunday afternoon. Given that West Ham had beaten Spurs at home the week previous, along with Liverpool's stumbling to the finish line and the fact Klopp hadn't won any of his four games against the Hammers, Arsenal fans could had plenty of sources of succour.

West Ham, however, were poor, and were inviting hosts in allowing Liverpool earn their biggest away win of the season.

Speaking to the media this morning, ahead of tomorrow's Premier League game with already-relegated Sunderland, Wenger has criticised the Premier League teams who are already on "holiday":

We do our job properly, we are focused until the end, and as long as we are in the competition we prepare the team well, and that's why we always finish strong, because we keep our focus. I don't look at the other fixtures. Some teams turn up, some go on holiday. I'ts difficult to plan, so you just want your team to do well, to focus until the last be professional and do your job properly until the last second of the season.

It's vital, just so you can look in the mirror and say we did it properly. That for me is absolutely vital.  I work every day not to stop half way. If we don't have the results I'm not happy, but what is not excusable is not to do your best. This season, it looks at the end of the season many teams who have been assured to stay in the league have just released their focus.

In fairness, the Stoke side Arsenal blew away on Saturday evening were about as interested as West Ham were against Liverpool. Ahead of their penultimate league game of the season, Wenger has revealed that Alexis Sanchez and Laurent Koscielny are doubts through injury.
