After a fierce rivalry with Man United when he was at Arsenal Thierry Henry clearly respects Fergie - but this is a bit too far, surely?
Arsenal and Manchester United clash today in a massive game at Old Trafford at 12:30. The two clubs have a huge history in the Premier League so mouths have been watering ahead of this one for a long time.
Thierry Henry knows a thing or two about the rivalry. He played for Arsenal at a time when their games with the United side of Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville et al produced some epic individual battles and matches. The two teams genuinely hated each other and it often wasn't much different between the managers Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger.
That's why Henry's comments on Sky Sport's 'Fantasy Football Club' show were so surprising.
It's not surprising that Henry respects the United players after years of competing against them. But still...
Arsenal fans, give this a watch a try not to puke. Can you imagine Keane or Neville saying this about Wenger or Robert Pires?
There'll be no love lost today. What a game it should be.
