With the news that Arsenal football club have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the sale of want away striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, their is a delicate game of dominos being played in the January transfer window.
Dortmund are reluctant to let the Gabonese international go without having a replacement sorted, Michy Batshuayi has caught their eye but the Belgian strikers availability depends on whether Chelsea can secure Giroud's signature.

Naturally enough Arsenal fans are not happy with the prospect of seeing another player head to a top four rival and have been venting about the Frenchman's proposed move:
I just don’t want to send a player of Giroud’s quality to a Top 4 rival.
Alexis to United was bad enough, but please not twice in a single window! There has got to be another way. ?#Arsenal#Chelsea#Giroud#Aubameyang

I just think I’m not ready to let him go. #Giroud

One user had an ominous warning for the club should Giroud move:
The loss of Giroud to Chelsea will totally overshadow any business we do this window. Don’t you fucking dare @Arsenal or we riot #Giroud

@Nilstar is doing the charitable thing in the wake of any potential exit:
I’ll be setting up a Post #Giroud Support Group
For those affected by his loss, might help to talk to others affected by this awful event in our lives #PGSG

Would be more upset about #Giroud to Chelsea then Sanchez deal :(
He loves the club, the fans love him, he offers something we’ve never had - an aerial presence and strength#arsenal— Rehan Haque (@R3hxn) January 29, 2018
While it is disheartening for Gunners fans to see another player leave for a rival, they must be thankful of the business the club has done this window, and if the Frenchman's exit is what is needed to precipitate Aubameyangs' arrival, then it's a risk worth taking.
