What was essentially Manchester United's U21 team put a dent in Arsenal's title hopes with a 3-2 win at Old Trafford on Sunday, and it was truly a surprising result considering the team featured a Premier League debutant in Marcus Rashford, and a centre-back partnership of Daley Blind and Michael Carrick.
Aresenal, who totally outclassed United back in at The Emirates in October, were pretty much at full-strength but put in a terribly disappointing performance, and after the game Arsene Wenger seemingly tried to gloss over the fact that they lost to a very weakened Manchester United side:
Wenger on Manchester United: "Let's not got overboard. They had a very experienced midfield and spent a lot of money."

That is absolute bullshit.
In fact, it was such bullshit that the Arsenal fans themselves called it as such when they responded to the official Arsenal account on twitter:
@Arsenal delete

@Arsenal Skipper, money isn't an excuse when you've stacks of cash, have only spent £28.50 and lost to a team of Football Manager re-gens.
— S (@attwood10) February 28, 2016
@Arsenal But the other day he said money isn't needed to compete.
— LCFChampions (@Micechael) February 28, 2016
@Arsenal Let's not go overboard. We spent millions but let a child score a brace and get an assist against us
— Mimi (@MimiGooner) February 28, 2016
Fair play to the Arsenal fans for not accepting that, it was a terribly ill-advised comment from Wenger.
Aresenal are not out of the title race. If anything they play their best football when people write them off so don't be surprised to see this result spark a good run of form.
Then we might see Wenger talk out of his mouth instead of... Somewhere else.
