Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has ripped Man United's Bruno Fernandes to shreds in a brutally honest interview.
The Frenchmen called the United skipper everything from "annoying" to a "diva" and even suggested that the captaincy should be taken off him.
This has been brought up in conversation before, with the biggest backlash coming during Liverpool's 7-0 hammering over the Red Devil's in 2023, and it appeared that that the United skipper was asking his manager to be substituted.
However, the talk about his captaincy cooled, but his behaviour on the pitch as someone who can be quite petulant, has been a constant talking point when it comes to analysing Erik ten Hag's team.
Now, speaking on talkSPORT, former Arsenal midfielder Petit, lets his feelings on the United playmaker be known, and he doesn't mince his words.

"I think he’s a good player but I think he’s a diva.
“He acts like a diva sometimes, not like a captain – he wears the armband but if I’m honest with you, if I’m a teammate in the dressing room and you see the way he’s behaving sometimes on the pitch with his arms all the time complaining, you don’t want that from your captain.
“You don’t want that from your teammate and you don’t expect that from your leaders.
“I was very impressed during COVID-19 without fans in the ground because he was amazing game after game but he signed a new contract and I saw him with Portugal as well and sometimes I get annoyed when I watch him on TV.
“I just want to get into the TV and just play in front of him as an opponent to shake him on the pitch.”
Asked who he would prefer to see as Man United captain, Petit replied: "It’s hard to find because the best player so far this season is the youngest one (Kobbie Mainoo), or even (Alejandro) Garnacho.
“I think Mainoo has the potential to wear the armband but he’s too young."
United have not gotten off to a good start this season, losing two out of their three opening games, including a 3-0 thrashing to Liverpool at home.
However, they have the opportunity to build some momentum again as they play Southampton in the early kick-off game tomorrow morning.
