The first leg in Munich was like rubbernecking a car crash - one you'd seen many times before at the same black spot. Last night was akin to watching the victim attempt to extract themselves from the vehicle only to ultimately impale themselves on a sharp piece of metal.

Once again, Arsenal are out of the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich with the added humiliation of the aggregate score being 10-2 - one which lent itself to a mercilessly unkind tweet from the German side.

Arsene Wenger's position was already edging towards untenable. Last night, may have put him over the line.

The back pages of today's papers do not make good reading for the Arsenal manager.
