When someone says the name Abou Diaby, what's the first thing you think of? If it has nothing to do with injuries then you're either a telling fibs or you're getting confused about who Abou Diaby is (he's the chap who's always injured, remember?). Well it turns out Diaby is not the only sick note who Arsenal have been propping up over the past number of years.
A report from physioroom.com shows that, since August 2002, Arsenal are the most injury prone team in the Premier League having suffered from an astonishing 889 reported injuries. As a comparison, Man Utd have had a similarly high 792, Chelsea have had 620 with Liverpool coming in at a healthy 551.
Diaby has become the poster boy of a very busy physio room at the Emirates in recent years. Physioroom has him down for an almost unbelievable 40 injuries since his arrival in 2006.
However, it might come as a surprise to find out that Diaby isn't the most injury prone Arsenal player in terms of separate injuries. That honour goes to Theo Walcott with 42, while Tomas Rosicky also features prominently with 36.
