Morgan Schneiderlein may be a man in demand at the moment but if Man United or Arsenal cannot pry him away from Southampton, then there's another midfielder high on the list of both club's transfer targets.
The Times are today reporting that Arsene Wenger has turned his attention to Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak after being told that he would have to shell out £25 million for Schneiderlein.
Krychowiak will be well known to Ireland fans after the Sevilla midfielder played a key role in nullifying the Irish midfield for the best part of 60 minutes at the Aviva in March. With Wenger in need of some added steel in the centre of the park, Krychowiak would certainly fit the bill given that he is equally capable of getting the ball down and playing 'the Arsenal way'.
However, much like the mooted deal for Schneiderlein, Man United are also said to be waiting in the wings. Krychowiak has a £21 million release clause in his Sevilla contract and it seems the powers that be at Old Trafford view the 25 year old as an affordable alternative to the Southampton man.
