Liverpool continued their impressive start to life under Arne Slot this afternoon, securing a comfortable 2-0 victory over Brentford at Anfield.
It was a very solid performance from Liverpool, especially in the second half. They would take the lead via Luis Diaz after just 13 minutes, with Mohamed Salah going on to wrap up the points with 20 minutes to go.

Liverpool would create a number of other chances in the game, with the scoreline likely to have been much higher were it not for some heroic defending from Ireland's Nathan Collins and a couple of excellent saves from Mark Flekken.
In all, it was a satisfactory day at the office for Slot's side.

Arne Slot Throws Cheeky Dig At Carragher After Liverpool Beat Brentford
Arne Slot would no doubt have been very pleased with the performance from his side in this game, although there will still be plenty of room for improvement moving forward.
He was certainly in a jovial mood after the game, including during his appearance on Sky Sports. Before his interview even started, he would throw a cheeky comment in the direction of former Reds defender Jamie Carragher.
It went down a treat.

Carragher: I'm talking to you and you're not even looking at me.
Slot: Does anyone ever listen to him?
Carragher: That's the clip, that's the meme, it's done!
Liverpool will face their biggest test of the season so far when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford next weekend. With United having lost to Brighton yesterday, they will be keen to produce a big performance at home against their fiercest rivals.
It should make for a fascinating contest, while a win in that game would go a long way towards endearing Slot to the supporters at his new club.
