A bizarre story has emerged from the Argentinian U17 camp ahead of this summer's World Cup, as a young star player became badly injured for one of the strangest reasons we've ever heard.

Thomas Conechny was playing FIFA 15 with a friend while in a hotel on holiday, when he fell out of a first floor window. Luckily for the lad he was only on the first floor, but he still dropped 10 feet and suffered some pretty nasty injuries as he twisted both ankles and suffered heavy bruising.

A hotel employee witnessed the fall and he believes the young footballer is lucky to escape with the injuries he did:

I was laying tables in the restaurant when I saw this body hit the ground outside.

I was completely shocked. It’s lucky he was on the first floor and not a higher one otherwise he could have died.

We all know how frustrating FIFA 15 can be, but surely it's not so bad that you fail to see an open hotel window in your immediate vicinity?
