Having reportedly ruled himself out of the running, Antonio Conte appears to be still in negotiations to take over from Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid.
This is despite a rumours that the Madrid dressing room is against the potential appointment of Conte.
Former Real Madrid president Vicente Calderon has revealed on BBC Radio 5 that the former Chelsea boss is reluctant to take the reigns at the La Liga club, listing out Conte's demands:
He’s asked for three years and to come in with five people and have hands free for signings and transfers.
Calderon went on to say that Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez is the favourite for the job,
According to Spanish news outlet ABC Conte will only take the job as long as he is given certain assurances in the transfer market, namely the signing's of Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi and Nicolas Otamendi.
The 30-year-old Argentinian has found himself on the sidelines for much of the current PL campaign, with Pep Guardiola preferring John Stones and Aymeric Laporte. Icardi seems a much more obvious choice to bring to the Bernabeu, with the club feeling the loss of Ronaldo's goals after a difficult start to the season.
